Olympic Update!

I'll be delivering you Olympic updates every day and suggesting some of the less popular sports you should check out:)

Here are some sports your should take a closer look at:

Women's Badminton
On May 13, the U.S. women's badminton team was named as Eva Lee and Mesinee "May" Mangkalakiri were announced as Olympic qualifiers. Lee will actually participate in singles and women's doubles. Mangkalakiri will serve as Lee's women's doubles partner -- both are making their first Olympic appearances. Read more about the team here.

Women's Basketball
The first nine members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic women's basketball team were announced May 31, and the final three were named July 10. The squad is made up of WNBA players in the USA Basketball program. Team USA qualified for the Olympics by winning the 2007 FIBA Americas tournament in Chile. Read more about the team here.
