I plan on using Wednesdays to feature bubble bath.
How cute is this Smith & Vandiver Bathing Beauties 13 Piece Set? I've seen these in Osco and Nordstrom Rack but I haven't bought one yet. This set is $26.99, which is a little steep, but they are sooo cute. And the description from the site says "Each Bathing Beauty provides 6-8 baths or weeks of shower time fun". I'm very temped...
The Home Spa Goddess Show is a daily podcast to help you live the spa lifestyle at home!
In this episode - This is the third in a five part series filled with tips and ideas for throwing a Valentine's Day Spa Pedicure Party. Today's spa party is called "I Heart Pedicures" and features 100% Pure products.
"The new sok overflowing bath creates the ultimate soaking experience and features seating areas specifically designed for the two people. You and your partner are deeply submerged in slow-moving water, which continuously flows over all sides of the infinity edge with a gentle rhythm. We've also increased the size of the bath to accommodate the added water overflow generated by two bathers simultaneously entering the bath. You can incorporate calming chromatherapy and champagne-like effervescent bubbles that caress your skin to further customize your placid escape."
This wouldn't work for bubble baths, of course, but I still want this tub.

I was in LOVE with the Pottery Barn books when they came out last year and I wanted every one. Last month I was cruising the "book aisle" in Marshall's and there was a copy of Bathrooms for $7! Retail price was $24.95:)
Great ideas and glorious pictures fill this book. It also has more than a few bathrooms I'd like to call my own. If you see this one in the bargain bin, snap it up!

We didn't have cable when MTV came out, so it was the only way my sister and I got to see the latest music videos. I thought I was the only one (besides my sister) who remembered this show - but no, here's the freakishly thorough Wiki and a tribute site. The internet is amazing.
Anyway, I bring it up because I'm starting a new feature on the blog this week, Friday Night Spa Videos! It's inspired by and in tribute to the late great Friday Night Videos (FNV for those in the know).
Friday Night Spa Videos(FNSV) will showcase a different bunch of spa/beauty videos every week. I'll embed a few and provide links to others. DSL and Cable internet are also amazing.
I am soooo happy that people are putting spa and beauty related enbedable/linkable video content on YouTube, Expert Village, and many other outlets. I'm also delighted to post it so more people can see it. If you have some beauty video that I can embed or link to send me an email and let me know.
Here are this weeks Spa-riffic videos...
I've been saving this one! Here is a video from the CBS Early Show on how to "Create The Spa Experience At Home" with Cheryl Kramer, the beauty editor for Redbook.
This is a set of videos from Expert Village on Facials. It's "Facial Masks for Beauty, Relaxation & Healing : Tips for Home Spa Treatments" by expert Nili Nathan
Check out this "Ice Cream" pedicure with ME! Bath products that was featured on KCAL 9 TV

Today we have yet another edition of Beauty Blogs to Bookmark(BBtB)! I'm featuring three blogs today that I think are "Spa"riffic.
First up is Afrobella. This blog features makeup and hair reviews geared towared other "Afrobella's" as well as comentary on recent events in the news and the world of entertainment. It's updated daily and worth a look.
Next up is Product Girl. This blog features the latest in bath, body and makeup products. It's also updated daily.
Last but not least there's Cyblesays. This is an "online beauty magazine". It updates on the first of the month with a new issue full of bath, body and beauty products. It's been online for over 5 years!
I went through the February Allure yesterday and I only found four pages worth ripping out and one "perfume page". All for pages were for ads. I'm a little disappointed, I usually average at least 10 pages with Allure, with most of them being content not ads.
In other news the Oscar nominations were given out. Jennifer Hudson got a best supporting actress nod - now she can ask for more money:) I hope she wins!
I'm going to post this on Mondays instead of Fridays from now on:)
The book this week is 500 Formulas For Aromatherapy: Mixing Essential Oils for Every Use. This book is so well designed and easy to understand, I don't know how I lived without it! There is a aromatherapy formula for every possible situation or need. It's by Carol and David Schiller, it's $12.95, and it should be on your spa bookshelf.
Some beauty blogs always deliver the goods. I've decide to spend Thursdays telling you where to find them.
This weeks Beauty Blog to Bookmark(BBtB) is Chaptastic.com
I love this BBtB because they always review lipgloss that (9 times out of 10) I can find at the drugstore, and Javajive and Scrappy (the sites bloggers and creators) have kept me from making more than a couple of lip gloss purchasing mistakes. I enjoy the snappy/snarky writing, clean layout, plentiful "lip gloss links" and often updated content.
Check out Chaptastic.com. It's a Beauty Blog to Bookmark.
