While watching "Lost" online a few weeks ago, my thoughts drifted to beauty products. Let's say all of my basic needs ( food, water, shelter) are covered. What beauty products would I bring with me to a deserted island? What if I could only bring seven things? I would get an unlimited supply of these seven items, but I could only bring seven beauty items. What would I pick?
I posed this question to some of my favorite beauty bloggers and the answers were informative, thought provoking and funny! "Island Beauty" will be a Wednesday staple here on HomeSpaGoddess.com for the next few months.
b|u3, the beauty behind the A Watercolour Sky beauty blog, is this week's Island Beauty. Here is her "Island Beauty Shopping List":
In reply to your question, I guess I kinda listed some products in my latest post, but then again on a deserted island i'd be more concerned with skincare products than makeup :P
With that in mind the 7 products would be:
Shampoo - Burt's Bees More Moisture Raspberry and Brazil Nut Shampoo
Conditioner - L'oreal Professional Vitamino Gel Mask
Soap - Dove soap or shower gel
Face wash - DHC Cleansing oil
Sunscreen - probably Shiseido Very Water Resistant SPF50 sunscreen for face and body
Face Moisturizer - Lancome Aqua Fusion cream
Exfoliator - Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Refiner
I'd put a mask and eye cream too, but that would go over the 7 allowed, unless I can assume the basic shampoo and conditioner needs are taken care of? :D
Thanks b|u3 for sharing your list!
Don't forget to check out her blog, A Watercolour Sky:)
Are you a beauty blogger? If you want to participate just email me your answer to this question:
You're stranded on a desert island where all of your basic needs (food, water, shelter) are taken care of. You are allowed an unlimited supply of only 7 beauty products. What seven products would you choose? They can be products for hair, face or body.
Email your list it to islandbeauty{at}homespagoddess.com with your blog url, blog name and your name. Put "Island Beauty" in the subject line.
This is the second time I've read about DHC Cleansing Oil. My skin is sooo dry. I'm definitely going to try it now.

ReplyDeleteHey:) I've tried it before in a sample and it is good. It would be the perfect thing to use in the winter.
Ooo this looks fun! I e-mailed mine to you
